Victoria's bold macro style of painting and use of color has evolved from her experience with textile design and silk painting as well as her life long love of nature. She started painting with oils at the age of 10 while living on a farm in Maine. Horses, wild flowers and pond life were the only things that captured her attention long enough to truly observe. At a very early age she knew her purpose is to create beauty.
Two passions have propelled Victoria through life, one is traveling to other cultures, photographing foreign flora and fauna. The other is creating beauty utilizing different mediums such as; oil, acrylic, gouache, procion dyes for painting on silk, textile designs, greeting cards, photography and mixed media collages. She has also designed clothing, book covers, cook books, tee shirts, business cards, post cards, catalogs, brochures and websites. Her artwork is in private collections worldwide. She has been called a contemporary Georgia O'Keeffe by her patrons. She self publishes her limited edition giclees and prints. The following is a list of shows that she has or is exhibiting in:

Victoria established Satori Design Studio in 1999 to expand her creativity. Satori is a Zen Buddhist word meaning truth about enlightenment and has been further defined as being present enough to recognize beauty. The later definition struck a cord with her as the word Satori describes the very nature of her being and what drives her in life to paint.
Satori Design Studio was established to create a line of handmade greeting cards with an Oriental and floral theme. The line of greeting cards has evolved to include other images such as early Tibetan mandalas and Navajo blankets and much more. You may view and purchase the cards at: www.satoridesignstudios.com
